My new chair should arrive today. I have abounding faith in Staples delivery service. This is the new, new chair... the old, new chair I was informed is no longer available. This new, new chair is a bobby-dazzler and was on sale or I wouldn't have even entertained the thought of buying it. Still it was an extravagance, but then I am worth it. It can, perhaps to double duty and I can be buried in it... it better last at least that long. Probably way too big for my humble "little" corner of the living room. For some reason they didn't feel it necessary to share the size of it when I ordered online. But all chairs are pretty much the same size, give or take and inch... right?
Of course a new office chair spawned the need for a bookcase... just a small one to put beside the desk and organize the clutter. I am a great believer in organizing my clutter. The bookcase was a bit of fiasco yesterday. I do not, nor will I ever have any kind of faith in Canadian Tire (our all around catch all store for everything from tires, to paint, to dishes and everything in between) ... it is an entity onto itself and does not work and pay well with others. The bookcase was supposed to be there... I checked online... I have the greatest faith in online shopping... but the actual store was another matter. It took the better part of half and hour for them to finally admit it didn't exist in their stock room. No matter I had a plan B. I ordered online from a Sears department store, which is only slightly more dependable, probably because you pay for the privilege of picking up the item yourself once you've ordered it and waited two weeks.
So I sit her in my old chair... a bit frayed and flat bottomed from years of use... a bit like me... to wait for delivery of my lovely new chair.
